The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) platform has received its first game deployment from ReelPlay through Light & Wonder, as ‘Hypernova Megaways’ was launched. According to Light & Wonder, the online slot game has been a “global smash” since its initial release in 2018. Light & Wonder, which has been a long-time partner of ReelPlay, sealed a new agreement to deliver ReelPlay games to BCLC, and ‘Hypernova Megaways’ is the first of many scheduled deployments.

Steve Mayes, Digital Partnerships Director at Light & Wonder, said that they have been working closely with ReelPlay for years and expect the distribution of their games to BCLC to be a success for all parties involved.

Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming ecosystem, which also facilitated Fantasma Games’ entry into the Canadian gaming market last year, has over 3,500 games from in-house and third-party game studios worldwide. They also provide a range of responsible gambling tools to ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming experience for players.

ReelPlay’s CEO, David Johnson, shared that “Hypernova Megaways” is one of the top-performing slot games in regulated North American markets. He also expressed excitement for the tri-party relationship to flourish after the debut release, as ReelPlay is the first to market with innovative and inspirational concepts.

Recently, BCLC joined United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS), formerly known as the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS).
