Telos Foundation sets a new collaboration with the aim of bringing mainstream gamers into the world of Web3 games.

The Telos Foundation (“Telos”) announced a strategic collaboration with GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME) (“GameStop”) that would allow the Telos blockchain to access mainstream gaming distribution through GameStop’s upcoming Web3 game launcher, GameStop Playr.

According to the announcement, this collaboration represented a significant opportunity to expand the global GameFi ecosystem and introduce Web3 gaming to a broader user base. The partnership aimed to enable users to enjoy Telos-supported Web3 games through GameStop Playr, leveraging Telos’ decentralized blockchain known for its scalability, affordability, low carbon footprint, and impressive track record of uptime.

AJ Dinger, Head of Business Development at the Telos Foundation, expressed excitement about the transformative collaboration with GameStop and expressed his belief that it would attract new users to the Web3 space. He stated that by combining GameStop Playr with Web3 games utilizing Telos’ high-performance blockchain infrastructure, they could overcome the barriers that were currently preventing Web2 players from embracing Web3.

Justin Giudici, CEO of the Telos Foundation, echoed Dinger’s enthusiasm, stating that Telos provided an ideal environment for GameStop’s expansion into Web3 game distribution. Giudici emphasized the importance of a platform that is fast, secure, sustainable, and scalable in advancing this dynamic space.
